Voting In-Person at the Precinct
As always, every registered voter may go to their assigned polling location with photo ID and vote in person. If you are not registered on Election Day, you may stop by the Township Hall and be registered and vote the same day at Township Hall or at their precinct.
Voting Absentee
Every registered voter may request an absentee ballot at any time before 4pm the Friday before Election Day. Your ballot will be mailed to your mailing address, which you may then complete and mail back to us at no cost to you; you may also drop it in our secure AV Ballot drop box or hand it to the clerk or deputy clerk over the counter at Township Hall.
To apply for an absentee ballot, come to Township Hall, or apply online by visiting the Michigan Voter Information Center (MVIC) website. Apply online here.
Early Voting
Kalamazoo County now offers Early Voting as an option for all registered voters in the County for State and Federal Elections. Toss Township residents may vote at any one of the four different locations around the County in the nine days leading up to Election Day.

Early voting for the November 3 General Election will take place from Saturday, October 24 through Sunday, November 1. Hours are 9:00 am – 5:00 pm.

Voter Eligibility:
To vote in Ross Township, you must be:
A Michigan resident (at the time you register)
A resident of Ross Township for at least 30 days (when you vote)
Not currently serving a sentence in jail or prison (after completing a sentence you can participate in elections without restrictions)
A United States citizen
At least 18 years of age (by election day)
Eligible voters that have a Michigan driver’s license or state ID can register online at the Michigan Voter Information Center at:

Notice:
Michigan law requires that the same address be used for voter registration and driver license purposes. Therefore, if the residence address you provide on this form differs from the address shown on a driver license or personal identification card issued by the State of Michigan, the Secretary of State will automatically change your driver license or personal identification card address to match the residence address entered on this form. If an address change is made, the Secretary of State will mail you an address update sticker for your driver license or personal identification card.

Absentee Voting:
Absent Voter Ballots are available to registered voters for all elections. They provide a convenient method for casting a ballot when a voter is unable to attend the polls on Election Day. An Absentee Ballot can be mailed to the Township Office or use our convenient “Drop Box” located to the right of the office entrance door (next to the library drop box – please don’t use that!) at 12086 M-89.

Within 14 days before an election, all applications must be submitted to the Ross Township Clerk in person, and you must provide proof of where you live.
Documents must have your name and address (you can also show a digital copy).
